Hello, I am seeking advice in regards to an on-going issue I am having at work. I had to report a colleague for serious misconduct throughout a period spanning from 2019-2021, however most of this took place between 2020-2021. I have raised the complaint with HR and reported these issues to the police. HR completed an investigation, which I found out had been concluded following information given to me from the police- not directly from HR. I was told by HR that my complaints had been founded and that the second stage of the disciplinary process would proceed within a week. This has still not happened. There is an on-going investigation with the police and HR continue to tell me that they have not completed the second stage of the Disciplinary process due to circumstances outside of their control, however this has been going on for nearly 6 months now and I would expect a complaint to be deal with efficiently, especially due to the nature of the complaint and the environment in which I work. I need advice in terms of how to move forward ,this situation has caused me great distress and anxiety and I am consider it to be a toxic environment to work in. I need support in raising a grievance in regards to this and perhaps discussing a negotiated exit, as I cannot see myself working in this environment further due to the distress it has caused and lack of support available to me.
